The New York Jets Has The Most Interesting Quarterback Core In The NFL

new york jets So I am watching the pre-season NFL game last night between the Jets and and the Bengals last night when I realized that New York has the most interesting stories of quarterback this year. Yes there has been much made of Peyton Manning leaving Indianapolis and dawning a broncos uniform this year but when it is said and done , the Jets will probably have more discussions about their quarterbacks this season.

It has already started when this past week Boomer Esiason spoke poorly about Tim Tebow and said point blank that he would cut the Heisman winning quarterback. How did Tebow respond? He just said he respected Boomer and gave him a simple “God Bless him”.

Yes, Tebow is a class act. He may take a lot of criticism as a quarterback but he stands tall as a man at a young age. He may be listed as the backup of the New York Jets but he gets more attention than any other player in the league (not just for the Jets). Just look at the jersey sales of Tebow. It is astounding.

So will Tim Tebow get a chance to play QB thus year for the Jets? It looks like Rex Ryan has some kind of plans for Tebow to march the offense down the field. many are saying that Tebow will be the quarterback inside the red zone. I’m sure Mark Sanchez has a little o say about that.

No quarterback wants to give up play time to another regardless if they say they will do anything to help the team. They know that as soon as a foot is in the door, there is a chance that their job is up for grabs. So if anyone really thinks that Sanchez has welcomed Tebow with open arms may be kidding themselves. He knows that Tebow starts to shine that he will be on the sidelines getting criticized for eating hotdogs again. Then it is bye bye contract and time to be traded.

Then he would have plenty of time to go out with teenagers.

So it’s not all talk about Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow. The Jest also have a very talented 3rd String Quarterback by the name of Greg McElroy from the University of Alabama. You see McElroy is no slouch. He led the Crimson Tide to a victory in the BCS National Championship. He has credentials and a winning mindset. Plus he was coached by Nick Saban who is also no slouch having won three National Championships.

So for the first time in along time, I watched a good portion of a preseason NFL game. Why? Simply because there are so many story lines with all three of the quarterbacks of the Jets. Will I watch some of the preseason games by the Giants this year? Probably not even though Eli Manning is a great quarterback and has won two Super Bowls already in his career.

The bigger storyline is with his brother Peyton and if he will hold up fro the Broncos this year. But that is it. If Peyton gets hurt, end of story. The Broncos are finished. Not to mention that they traded their QB that got them into the playoffs last year. So a few of these storylines are tied together.

I’m not even going to mention the contract Drew Brees got (oh wait I just did). Brees got a huge contract that was well deserved. He is a leader on that team and he has earned his keep. He is an elite quarterback in the NFL and as long s teams will pay the big bucks, Brees is deserving as any. Besides, the Saints are going to need all of the help they can get as the Bounty Gate issue is still heating up and they are missing their head coach Sean Payton due to being suspended. Not as that is bad enough but Payton is in the middle of a divorce. Sounds like 2012 is a bad year for him.Maybe Payton should have consulted Rex ryan on some foot massages for his wife.

Not helping?

OK, we are not here to drag Sean Payton through the mud. He’s a winning coach and we have other fish to fry. So back to the Jets.

I will definitely watch a lot more Jets games this year due to the fact that they are already a team in the spotlight with their outspoken coach, Foot Rubbin’ Rex. Add a starting quarterback from with GQ looks from USC, a quarterback that was traded from the Broncos but is still so popular that even the analysts cannot figure it out (insert Merril Hoge), and a QB from the University of Alabama taht said the Jets locker room was a joke and you have a recipe for must see football.

I must reiterate, The New York Jets Has The Most Interesting Quarterback Core In The NFL. so get ready for a fun-filled season.
